The Honeycomb Matrix along with the screen mesh (sold together) can be used in a variety of retro-fit applications. Inside the attic, behind existing gable and eave vents, the matrix can be cut to size and fastened to the existing 1/4” screen, making the vent fire safe quickly and easily. OR As the photo below shows, the matrix can be used on the exterior of an existing vent such as a dormer. Gunter Mfg offers Dormer retro-fit kits that include the matrix, the flashing & beauty ring and the screws. Everything you need to make the existing dormer fire safe in minutes. |
